Writing about yourself is never easy. Where do you begin?
I’ll start with where I am now... I am I freelance digital marketer from Edinburgh. As a recent graduate from University, I decided to peruse my creative passion and become self-employed.
Throughout my childhood I never had a specific career in mind, just a desire to be creative. Upon leaving school a year early, feeling lost and a lack of direction, I began to work in luxury retail which is where my interest in marketing was sparked.
After working for several years in retail whilst gaining a HNC, I made a slightly rash decision to leave my job and begin learning more about marketing through internships. Then Covid began… I was unemployed, as many were, so I began writing, completing online marketing courses, and developing creative skills. As the summer of 2020 drew to a close, I was posed with the question of what to do? I made another slightly rash decision to go to university, I applied through clearing and started my studies two weeks later.
I spend these following years immersing myself in studying and absorbing all the knowledge I could. Upon graduating I began working as a freelance digital marketer after dabbling with this throughout summer breaks. Now, I am moving between different roles which are growing in exciting ways I never would have imagined.
